January 27, 2018: huZ galleries

Two solo exhibitions titled "Color of Money," and "Urban Dilemmas" opened at huZ galleries in December 2017.
Huss Hardan, Insurrection of the Innocent 35mm film, 12 by 18 matted/framed to 20 by 28 silver halide print

"Color of Money" features photography from a three-part trilogy titled "Anguish and Obsession." The first of the series, An American Love Story, was exhibited this past year at huZ Galleries and photo l.a. Color of Money is the second series to be exhibited. The third and final series, Mother Earth has already been shot and is set to be exhibited in 2018.

In this digital age Hardan chooses to shoot with film. The photographer is passionate about the integrity of the old world medium.

The artist taps into the timely topic of sexual harassment in this exhibition. Hardan's photos offer a stark reality of the everyday abuse and harassment of women. The work further delves into the darker side of the spectrum and touches on human trafficking and the exploitation of women.

In addition to solo exhibitions at huZ galleries, Hardan's work has been featured at Gabba Gallery, bG Gallery and Beyond the Lines Gallery (the latter two at Bergamot Station), as well as the LA Art Show. He was also a featured photographer at photo l.a. this past year.

The second exhibition, "Urban Dilemmas" features the art of Randi Matushevitz. This is her first time exhibiting at the gallery. "huZ galleries owners Huss and Xenia provide a professional atmosphere open to engaging opportunities and exhibitions."
