December 1, 2017: The Montana Avenue Holiday Walk!

December 1, 2017, marks the return of The Montana Holiday Walk. This festive annual event is a great way to kick off the holidays. This event is always fun and busy - lots of locals come out to bring in the season.

Enjoy holiday music and refreshments while you enjoy ten blocks of boutique stores that offer wonderful gifts for friends and family. It's a great time to do some shopping while enjoying holiday cheer. The walk runs from 7th street to 17th street from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm...it's your chance to embrace the season.

Many stores are participating and having their own exclusive events. There will be live music up and down the street.

Be sure to start at 7th street...Stop by Texture: A Sweater store and More...owner Jane Walker has been busy working hard to help put the event together, in addition to running her own shop.

Walker said she loves the sense of community that Montana Avenue Holiday event brings each year. While at Texture be sure to buy a beautiful sweater. Guitarist Peter Skrabak will be performing classical holiday music in front of TEXTURE. A talented musician, Skrabak said he was excited to be back performing once again at the event.
In addition to being a proficient guitarist, Skrabak is also a noted songwriter. He has worked with legendary sax player Hollis Gentry, and while in the band, he wrote a song (NO PODRAS) which was performed by Gentry and would later become a huge international hit for the Mexican artist Cristian Castro.Find out more about Peter Skrabak and his music on http://www.peterskrabak.com

Then stroll East...stop for a quick bite at ROSTI Tuscan Kitchen, 931 Montana Avenue; 310-393-3236; http://www.rostituscankitchen.com

Just across the street from ROSTI Tuscan Kitchen, guitarist Milo Gonzalez will be performing outside The Shade Store.
