The two talented artists have been married for the past thirty-seven years. Each create their own distinctive work, completely different than the other. They have become each other's advocates, sharing techniques, bouncing ideas off of each other and critiquing the work. "We drive every year to our studio in Maine," said Marjorie. "The drive gives us the opportunity to experience much of the country as we accumulate photographic images that can be used as references for future paintings." Bob added, "This provides rich and diverse resources to express our view of Americana. Bob went on to explain, that "Natural Gas," one of their collaborations, has a dual intent. "At first glance the viewer usually laughs at the surprising interaction between cows and traffic." Margie added that there is also the deeper meaning dealing with environmental issues. "Our collective view produces a synthesizing commentary on an American experience, continued Margie, while Bob chimed in..."It is contemporary Americana."

Run by art professors, Matt and Monica Furmanski, 643 Project Space is an invitational venue which showcases diverse of work by a wide variety of artists from the greater Los Angeles area. The city of Ventura’s cultural center along downtown Main Street and Ventura Avenue is thriving. The streets are active at night with a diversity of restaurants and art. The long stretch of beach and First Fridays have made Ventura a destination city. The opening reception takes place in conjunction with the First Friday event, which is a great time to visit the area. Take advantage of all ths shops being open and the wonderful restaurants.

I highly recommend everyone to visit the exhibition. Marjorie and Bob Moskowitz are two talented artists. See below for all the websites and a phone number for additional info.
